I’m a huge fan of Birkenstocks and this pair of Gizehs is my sixth pair. I think I initially disregarded the Gizeh toe post style because I mistakenly thought it would be uncomfortable and rub, but following other people’s sound advice of wearing them around the house for a couple of weeks prior to going out in them seems to have done the trick. They’re brilliantly comfortable now and I love the way in which the Gizeh style feels much more secure on my foot than the single strap Madrid – i.e. they’re not quite so flappy and there’s no ‘clonk’ when you walk!

I’m loving all of the colours, plus Amazon are always good value. I’d say to anyone who’s a little aprehensive to go for it, remember that Birkies always come up a little larger than your normal shoe size – e.g. I’m normally a 9/43 but take a 42 regular width.
